Claire Ratcliffe
I am delighted to be recently elected as a school governor at Tiverton.
As a registered nurse, with 30+ years working in and around healthcare and the medical device industry, I have gained experience in commercial management, finance, team leadership and more recently in Healthcare Professional Education and scientific exchange.
Outside of work, I am an avid rugby football fan, drive a classic car and love reading, I always want to learn more.
As a governor, I am dedicated to using my skills and experience to support the school’s vision and strategy, and to ensuring that the school is a place where students can thrive and reach their full potential.
Stacey Walker
My name is Stacey I recently joined the Governing board as a parent governor. My son joined the school in September 2021 and what an amazing experience it has been. I was so impressed with all the staff and the school that I felt I wanted to be part of it.
So here we are, I am now learning and understanding how the school works and all the hard work that goes in to making such an incredible school.
I run my own business and have done for the last 7 years, with a career in hairdressing for 17 years.
I am lucky enough that I do the school drop off and pick up most days so I get the chance to chat to some parents and staff.
I feel I have a very good understanding of the support and education our children need and are entitled to, so I look forward to supporting the school in every way possible.
Mary Scullion
My name is Mary Scullion. I have recently joined the Governing Board as a staff governor.
I have a NVQ2/NVQ3 in Childcare and Education and 20 years experience.
I am very passionate about my job and feel very privileged to be working at Tiverton School with such amazing children and staff.
I am family oriented and everything I do outside of work resolves around my mum, son, daughter in law and two grandchildren. I also have a little dog and I am a big horse lover.
I take my role as a staff governor very seriously. I can take other people’s opinions into account and voice them in a more positive and constructive way. I feel I am gaining more knowledge about the school and putting this into practise daily to help the children and staff at Tiverton School.
